Join Cara and Eliza, two seasoned designers, as they share their journey from panic to proficiency. Having survived some remediation nightmares, they have developed an appreciation for incorporating accessibility from the start and can't wait to share their insights with you. They now know that mastering accessibility will be a continual process requiring a healthy dose of grace and forgiveness. Gain confidence in the process as they show you how to approach accessibility with a growth mindset while getting the oh-so-important buy-in from colleagues. You’ll leave their session feeling relieved and fired up to take accessibility on by storm!

Cara Combs, Creative Director, and Eliza Bullock, Marketing Strategist, have a combined 38 years of design experience. Since their first unexpected remediation, they’ve become the in-house accessibility experts at the University of Kansas Center for Public Partnerships and Research (CPPR). Through accessibility and design, they maximize the impact of CPPR’s mission to optimize the well-being of children, youth, and families across the state and nation. Their road to accessibility mastery is a long one, but they hope that others can learn from their experience.
